Polyphasic identification
Minimum characters to be accounted (minimum value is 1):
Minimum similarity to keep identification results (0-100):
I have read the
disclaimer
and I agree with the
conditions and limitations
associated with the usage of the software
First, select the database and the table to be used for the comparisons. Then,
fill in the form below
and
click
on the
"start identification"
button.
Identifications will be performed in a polyphasic way. This means that different types of characters will be compared and combined to produce a global similarity coefficient between the unknown profile and the reference records. This means that morphological, physiological, molecular and other types of data could be analyzed simultaneously to obtain the identification. Not all the fields must be entered. Non-entered data will be considered as missing data and won't be accounted for the computation of the global similarity coefficient. As a general rule, the more data provided, the more reliable the identification will be. The different types of characters will be treated with specific algorithms and could be differentially weighted. Results should be evaluated with care and a critical mind.
Please contact the curator of the database if you feel that you need more explanations on how the comparisons are performed.
